May 5, 2023, Shanghai China - DAHON, leading folding bike trailblazer and manufacturer, returns to China Cycle for 2023 after the event’s hiatus due to the global pandemic. The folding bike pioneer is excited to be showcasing a variety of their electric and non-electric folding stars, as well as their updated sharing 360 program, industry leading technology, and accessories.
New Parts in Sharing 360 Program
Sharing 360 is DAHON’s technology-sharing program, aimed at improving green mobility by licensing patented technology for use by brands and manufacturers worldwide. Last month DAHON announced the Sharing 360 range expansion, to include the new Jaw Hinge II – large tooth concealed folding hinge, upgraded Eiffel Handlepost – a tough, squared tube folding stem, Quick release training wheels – toolless and stowable training wheels, the ingenious Safety Disc Break – an inset disc break that achieves up to a 15mm narrower profile, D4A and D2D stem – quick release adjustable risers, and Newton Double Break – a single piston break with the power and performance of dual pistons.
Exciting Deltec News
Coming later in 2023, DAHON will be releasing a series of scientific articles that explain how unique DELTEC technology improves bike performance. The Deltec is a simple cable accessory that improves the strength, and stiffness for single beam, folding bikes, extending lifespan and warranty. DAHON CEO, Dr David T. Hon reports that folding bikes fitted with a Deleted cable outperformed some standard road and mountain bikes in pedaling efficiency, including other DAHON models not fitted with the Deltec cable.
Product Range on Show
DAHON is showcasing a dazzling folding bike line-up, including electric and non-electric models for various price points. A selection of these models are available for test riding.
DAHON’s latest innovation, an electric folding cargo bike, The Cargoe T5 is on show. With 11 patented technologies, the unique model offers effortless travel for a variety of cycling needs, boasting a maximum cargo capacity of 250kg, and a 35% size reduction once folded. The flexible model also adapts to additional fixtures, including child seats and canopy. Journeys are powered by a 250w mid-motor, and a 48V/20Ah battery, with 4 levels of electric assist. The unique configuration of this cargo bike offers effortless, luxurious travel for riders and their load.
Also on show, is the latest retro reboot, D-alpha. Sporting a tough, aluminum, diamond frame with 7 speeds, and an additional rear roller rack for convenient vertical storage, the distinctive model offers fashion-forward travel for any urban journey.
Further folders will be on display, including the compact Curl Ei4, speedy electric Unio E20, elegant Boardwalk D7, as well as a variety of region-specific models.
