Our Commitment to Privacy: DAHON is committed to ensuring through our Privacy Policy that your privacy and personal information is protected. Any information collected or submitted is for internal use only and will never be sold or distributed to any third party entities. We have reviewed our site, contact methods and signup forms to do our best to be compliant with GDPR. Please read on below for a summary of our Privacy Policy.
This site uses Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel tracking codes to collect data on visitors to the website. This is made possible by cookies, and you will see a cookie permission pop-up when first visiting this site. Please scroll down to read our cookie policy.
We also collect information when you register your DAHON bike to become eligible for an extended warranty. To register you need to fill in a form that requests some specific information to identify you, and for marketing purposes if you give permission. The registration form contains the option to decline (click No Thank You) your information being used for marketing, and if you do not opt in, your data will be deleted following your receipt of your warranty extension email.
We also collect information on our Contact page. The contact form does not store information on our website, but instead emails it directly to contact@dahon.com. The contact inbox is a Google business email account. You can find out more about its security features here.
If you feel you have submitted incorrect information and would like to access or change your details, please send us request via email to contact@dahon.com.
To further ensure your privacy, you must submit credible information to support the requested changes and we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before making any changes.
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
If you have any further questions or concerns about these policies, please send us an email at contact@dahon.com.
In the past we kept a database of owners who had registered their bike and were sometimes able to assist with retrieving your serial number, which may have been helpful for police investigations and insurance claims. Due to the way in which this data was collected, and the demands of keeping it secure and up to date, we no longer retain this database! If you register your bike for an extended warranty you must ensure you keep your bike data email. We also recommend registering your bike with one of the many website which offer this specific service for the unfortunate cases of bicycle theft.
